Cooling neighborhoods through cooperative ecology
We plant native trees and install residential stormwater solutions alongside Oconee Valley neighbors, turning private yards into active ecological buffers.
On-the-ground neighborhood action
We coordinate direct planting and runoff mitigation projects where residential zones meet local waterways and school grounds.
Campus Canopy Targets
Buffer Zone Planting
Neighborhood Bioswales
Planting native shade trees on local school borders to reduce heat islands and create natural outdoor classrooms.
Establishing multi-layered vegetative buffers between residential streets and active agricultural drainage ditches.
Coordinating community digging days to install rock-lined bioswales that capture and filter street runoff.

Practical tools for soil-first remediation
We provide the physical resources and scientific guidance to manage residential drainage and restore local soil chemistry.
What is included
Each physical kit contains three native saplings, soil testing meters, organic compost, and a step-by-step planting guide tailored for Georgia clay.
The runoff from the street used to pool in my backyard every spring. Installing the backyard bioswale with the Alliance completely stabilized our soil.
